Limitations
- Case rules follow standard Unicode mappings and are not tuned to a specific language. For example, German “ß” becomes “SS” in uppercase, and Turkish dotted and dotless I use the default mapping.
- Title Case follows English rules and does not preserve acronyms, brand names or proper nouns.
- Sentence case capitalizes after . ! and ? followed by a space or line break, so abbreviations such as “dr.” are treated as sentence ends.
- Invert Case swaps lowercase and uppercase letters only. Titlecase letters are left unchanged.
- camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE convert every line on its own, so a list of names becomes a list of identifiers. Punctuation and spaces separate words, and apostrophes inside a word are dropped (“don't” becomes “dont”).
- These styles also split existing camelCase at its capitals, so “parseHTML” becomes “parse_html”. A capital after a lowercase letter or a digit starts a new word, so “iPhone” becomes “i_phone” and “3D” becomes “3_d”.
Frequently asked questions
What is a case converter?
A case converter changes the capitalization of text, for example to uppercase, lowercase, title case or sentence case.
Can it turn one naming style into another?
Yes. It reads spaces, underscores, hyphens and camelCase alike, so “userNameId”, “user-name-id” and “USER_NAME_ID” all give the same words in any style you choose.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Text entered into the case converter is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to TextMora.
Does converting overwrite my original text?
No. The input stays exactly as you typed it, and the result appears in the output field. Use Continue with… to take the result to another tool.
Is the case converter free?
Yes. It is free to use and needs no registration.
